At United Minds Charitable Foundation, we believe that true empowerment begins with opportunity. And today, we are proud to announce our very first official initiative: Empowering Vision—a program designed to support visually impaired children in building financial independence through skill development.
Empowering the visually impaired with skills & independence
In partnership with the Blind Relief Association, Nagpur – India, United Minds Charitable Foundation is launching a specialized program to train blind and visually impaired children in valuable trade skills like sewing and stitching. More than just a course, this initiative is a step toward autonomy, dignity, and opportunity.
Through hands-on training using adapted tools and machines specifically designed for the visually impaired, students will gain the practical skills they need to create high-quality products and enter the world of entrepreneurship or employment.
But the impact doesn’t stop there.
Upon completion of the program, each child will be gifted their own sewing machine—permanently. This isn’t just a tool. It’s a future in their hands. After graduation, the Blind Relief Association will continue to support these young entrepreneurs by acting as an intermediary—providing them with raw materials and helping to market their finished products. This ongoing support ensures that each student has not only the skills, but also the supply chain and platform needed to succeed independently. They can earn a living, support their families, and move forward in life with confidence and pride.

This project wouldn’t be possible without the guidance, generosity, and tireless support of our local collaborators. The Blind Relief Association has been an instrumental partner, bringing deep experience, trusted community relationships, and a shared vision for long-term change.
